Fulton’s Book of Piegons
My paintings for The Aviary exhibition are based, in part, on these images from Fulton’s Book of Pigeons. Published in London in 1880, it is a work which attempts to document all the varieties of fancy pigeons then extant. Fancy pigeons are birds that are specially bred for particular aspects of size, shape, colour, and behaviour.
