For Hearing Bertolt Brecht Derek Hampson used recordings of Brecht’s interrogation by the House Un-American Activities Committee to make 4 audio works. From these recording he created 4 indvidual sound files. These were then transmitted by radio into the gallery on 4 different frequencies. Each was picked up by four small receivers, each of which had a painting attached to it – below.
